Before the Box Arrives
Have the receiving aquarium fully prepared, stable, and appropriate for the species before delivery. Confirm temperature and water conditions ahead of time so the fish are not waiting while the tank is being adjusted.
Receive the Shipment Promptly
Monitor tracking and bring the package indoors promptly after delivery. Keep the box out of direct sun, extreme heat, and cold while you prepare to open it.
Inspect the Fish on Arrival
Check the shipment as soon as it arrives. If a fish is DOA, immediately take a clear photo of the fish upon arrival and contact Discus Direct™ right away so the claim can be reviewed under the Live Arrival Guarantee.
Follow Species-Appropriate Acclimation
Minimize unnecessary handling and acclimate the fish using the current Discus Direct™ instructions for the species you purchased. Avoid making large, last-minute changes to the receiving aquarium while the fish are in transit or waiting to be introduced.
Observe After Introduction
Keep the environment calm and observe respiration, swimming, posture, and interactions after introduction. Shipping is stressful, so give new arrivals time to settle while maintaining stable water quality.
